A hands-on leadership role running day-to-day operations across the whole hotel, working closely with the General Manager.

About the role

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day hotel operations — leading front office, housekeeping, food & beverage and the night team — to deliver an exceptional guest experience while driving profitable performance. This is a true hands-on role: you'll be visible on the floor, covering shifts as Duty Manager, and jumping in across departments whenever the business needs you. A fantastic opportunity to grow within a group of four hotels, with genuine progression across our properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading daily operations across reception, housekeeping, events and food & beverage
  • Acting as Duty Manager on every shift, with a strong, visible on-site presence
  • Managing forecasts and optimising occupancy and rate with the team
  • Implementing SOPs, health & safety, hygiene and quality standards
  • Recruiting, training, coaching and developing staff
  • Overseeing weddings and events hands-on, from setup to delivery

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years progressive hotel operations experience, with 2+ years supervisory or managerial
  • Full-service hotel experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel PMS, POS and operational systems
  • A hands-on, energetic and flexible approach — comfortable with nights, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • CHA, Food Safety/HACCP and First Aid/CPR advantageous but not essential

About the role

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising daily operations across bar, restaurant and breakfast service
  • Ensuring smooth service flow during all operating periods, including peak times
  • Overseeing opening and closing procedures for all service areas
  • Handling guest enquiries, complaints and special requests professionally
  • Supervising, motivating and supporting F&B team members, assisting with rotas
  • Training the team on service standards, menu knowledge and upselling
  • Monitoring stock levels, ordering, rotation and inventory control
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and licensing regulations

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within food & beverage operations
  • Experience in bar, restaurant or breakfast service environments preferred
  • Food safety certification (e.g. Level 2 Food Hygiene)

About the role

As one of the first points of contact for our guests, you'll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. This is a varied, guest-facing role where no two days are quite the same — supporting everything from check-ins and reservations to guest enquiries and general reception duties, working closely with the wider hotel team.

What you'll be doing

  • Welcoming guests with a friendly, professional check-in and check-out experience
  • Handling guest enquiries in person, by telephone and by email
  • Managing bookings, amendments and cancellations accurately
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate guest records
  • Providing information about the hotel, its facilities and the local area
  • Liaising with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
  • Completing general reception and administrative duties
