CYCLING

Anglesey is a ‘hidden gem’ for cyclists with 125 miles of coastline around cliffs and beaches offering stunning views of Snowdonia and a network of predominantly flat, quiet roads and unspoilt countryside at the heart of the island. There are routes for all abilities from short, off-road, family-trails at Newborough to the ‘round anglesey’ challenge for experienced cyclists.

The island boasts two of Britain’s nine national cycle routes and for the competitive cyclist over 1000 competitors race in the annual ‘Tour de Mon’ cycling sportive each August with routes ranging from 42 miles to 107 miles. For the leisure cyclist, guided cycle rides and bike hire are also available at a number of locations on the island with the ‘Telor Trail’ starting just minutes from the hotel in Beaumaris with electric bikes also available.
